about

With over 30 years experience in the grape growing industry, the Borjon Family knows a thing or two about producing premium wine grapes. A vineyard service company that began in the early 90’s quickly escaladed into becoming Borjon Vineyard & Labor Services (BVLS). A company that would oversee the production of many premium Amador County vineyards.

BVLS currently manages and/or produces grapes for many prestige wineries from both Napa County Sonoma County and Amador County. Turley Wine Cellars, Leaf & Vine, Rombauer, Renwood Winery, Fiddletown Cellars, Story Winery, Bed Rock Wine Co., La Chertosa and Borjon Winery are just a few of the vintners that graciously welcome the quality that BVLS provides.

Although Isy did not attend college to instead take over the family business, his ability to absorb and retain information has made him to be a very sought after viticulturist.

When asked how he is different from a viticulturist with a degree Isy simply responds;

 “School is very important. I would have gone if I had no other choice and obviously would have gone for a degree in viticulture and enology. But I have learned (and still learning) what I know by being in the field first hand… Let me just put it this way, what is the difference between an astronomer and an astronaut? If you were to ask them both a question related to space, and they both gave a different answer, whose answer would you agree with? I consider myself an astronaut.”
